Xingyu, United Nova Technology and Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Jointly Promoting the Industrialisation Process of micro-LED

On 10 January, Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Xingyu'), United Nova Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'UNT') and Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Wuhan. The three parties will integrate their respective advantages in the fields of automotive lighting, chip manufacturing, and compound semiconductor research and development to jointly promote the research and development and industrialisation of frontier technologies such as micro-LED automotive lighting, optical communication, and AI display, jointly creating a new era of optoelectronic technology.Xingyu is a leading enterprise in China's automotive lighting industry, possessing a complete independent research and development system and strong design, development, and manufacturing capabilities. Its products have been widely applied to mainstream automotive brands both domestically and internationally. UNT is a domestically leading contract manufacturing enterprise with production capabilities for automotive-grade IGBT/SiC chips and modules, as well as digital-analogue hybrid high-voltage analogue chips, serving as an important manufacturing base for automotive-grade and high-end industrial control chips and modules in China. Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory is a globally leading compound semiconductor research institution, possessing profound technical accumulation and open process platforms in the fields of optoelectronic materials and devices, and is the sole national-level manufacturing pilot-scale testing platform in the integrated circuit field.

In this strategic partnership, the three parties will focus on the following aspects to carry out pragmatic cooperation: collaborative technology research and development and problem-solving, joint application for critical projects, personnel training and exchange, project incubation cooperation, and deep supply chain collaboration. As an important measure to promote the implementation of the strategic cooperation, Xingyu, in collaboration with UNT and Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory, has jointly established 'Wuhan Xingxiguang Technology Co., Ltd.' (hereinafter referred to as 'Xingxiguang'). Xingxiguang plans to invest 3 billion RMB to construct a micro-LED intelligent optoelectronic technology research and development and manufacturing project. The company will deeply focus on the industrialisation of micro-LED technology, with advanced automotive lighting business as a solid cornerstone, and further expand by leaps and bounds into frontier fields such as micro-displays and optical interconnects. This initiative aims to integrate the industrial resources of the three parties, break down barriers through technological collaboration, and accelerate the construction of a complete ecological closed loop from chip research and development to system application, fully seizing the commanding heights of the market for the new generation of optoelectronic technology.
