Xingyu Has Been Awarded the Special Prize of the National Promotion Award for Voluntary Blood Donation, Making it the only company in Changzhou to receive this honor

Recently, Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Xingyu') has been awarded the Special Prize of the National Promotion Award for Voluntary Blood Donation for the 2022-2023 period, becoming the only enterprise in Changzhou to receive this distinction.

On the morning of 11 February, Changzhou Blood Center, in conjunction with Xinbei district health departments, made a special visit to the company to present the award. Zhou Xiaoping, Chairperson of Xingyu, accepted the award on behalf of the company and expressed sincere gratitude to the municipal and district departments at all levels for their long-standing concern and guidance.The Origin of Xingyu Blood Donation Day

This unwavering commitment stems from an unforgettable incident from the past. On 28 January 2008, as heavy snow fell across the Jiangnan region, a young colleague fell from a roof whilst clearing snow from the factory building, placing his life in grave danger. The hospital's blood bank was critically low, and heavy snow had blocked the roads. In this emergency, dozens of Xingyu employees resolutely walked to the hospital to donate blood. Although we were ultimately unable to save our colleague's life, that spirit of mutual assistance and solidarity remained forever in the hearts of all Xingyu employees. In memory of this spirit, the company designated 28 January 

each year as 'Xingyu Blood Donation Day'. To avoid the Spring Festival holiday, the date was adjusted to 28 March, starting from 2017.

As a leader in the domestic automotive lighting industry, Xingyu has always deeply embedded social responsibility into the lifeblood of its corporate development. Over the past seventeen years, the company has continuously organised voluntary blood donation activities, with a cumulative blood donation volume reaching 2.048 million litres, equivalent to bringing hope of life to over 5,000 patients. In this warm and steadfast commitment, on average one in every six Xingyu employees has participated in voluntary blood donation, taking practical action to protect lives and safeguard medical blood supplies. Receiving the Special Award of the Promotion Award of National Blood Donation this time serves both as a genuine recognition of the selfless dedication of Xingyu employees and as a demonstration of the company's responsible commitment to steadfastly giving back to society on the path of public welfare
